Ramones – Road to Ruin LP Fashion

The Ramones ignited the punk-rock movement with their eponymous 1976 debut, revitalizing rock and roll at one of its lowest ebbs with attitude, energy and a loud, fast new sound. By cutting music down to its bare essentials – four chords, a simple catchy melody, and a sped up tempo and irresistibly inane lyrics – the Ramones blazed the trail for thousands of bands that followed. The band s final LP of the 70s and fourth overall, Road To Ruin was their first to feature a three-minute-plus song, I Wanted Everything, however, it s anchored by the all-time classic I Wanna Be Sedated and a signature cover of Needles & Pins. Dee Dee, Joey, and Johnny were also joined for the first time here by drummer Marky Ramone, who replaced founding member Tommy Ramone, who d left to do more producing and writing for the band.
