Mutilation Rites – I Am Legion 12In EP (Grey Marble Vinyl) For Sale

RE-PRESS AVAILABLE NOW. 300 COPIES ON OPAQUE GREY VINYL. I was first turned on to Mutilation Rites by my friend Scott. His band played with them in Minneapolis on a tour earlier in 2011 and he had nothing but great things to say. I noticed the band had been on tour frequently and another friend from Milwaukee was going to be releasing one of their demos on CS. I finally got around to checking out the band when I got a stack of the self-titled cassette form Poison Infiltration and was greatly impressed. I Am Legion contains three original demo songs re-worked and re-recorded with their current lineup, the same lineup that recorded Empyrean for Prosthetic Records. Another very expensive project, of course. All artwork by Reuben Sawyer from Rainbath Visual, including the b-side of the record which was a pressed etching. Jacket printed on heavyweight stock, metallic ink, high gloss finish. Looks very striking. Add to that the black inner sleeves and black insert printed w metallic silver ink. All around one of my favorite packages. Everything meshed together so well and looked very visually striking. All test pressings went towards the band s inventory for their tour. 50 copies were test pressed, inserted into the standard jackets and sold at shows. Those copies all have white labels, standard pressing has black.
